MRV. "ENTERPRISE"
The
beauty of our 65' foil assisted aluminum catamaran the Motor Research
Vessel “Enterprise” is her spaciousness.
Twelve feet of tinted curved lexan windows provide incomparable
open ocean views.
Her
unique lines set her apart from other research vessel and or yacht. Her
finishing like any fine lady has been a work in progress for a number of
years. She has a two story
main saloon – equipped with a custom Italian Made “old world” inlaid
wood boardroom table with seating for twelve. She is presently equipped with 435 hp caterpillar twin
diesels with 3:1 reduction
gear boxes. These power
plants have sufficient power to suit her present purpose.
The MRV “Enterprise” is the
Flagship and acts as the Research and Recovery platform for testing
our hypothesis and deploying our Jupiter Coins LLC. Personnel to meet her
present mission – in the gin clear waters, just outside of Jupiter
Inlet. She is first and foremost a seaworthy and stable working platform
– however her accommodations are being developed and designed to satisfy
the more discerning needs of our science, artifact preservation and for
our project’s future patrons - who may be invited to come aboard.
MRV “Enterprise” is equipped with a unique undersea
mobile excavation and sand bypassing
/ transferring technology. She
is capable of uncovering, hither too buried reef structure while searching
for sunken treasure and can actually build beachfronts, in the process.
All of this can be viewed from the comfort of her air conditioned
main saloon on underwater video cameras, should you be invited aboard and
choose not to dive or snorkel during your Adventure
of 10 Lifetimes experience, in the gin clear waters just off Jupiter
Inlet.
Work location: just off the beach!

MRV. "PHENOIX"
This is a mobile work platform for receiving the material (overburden)
that covers the wreck sight.
This is the sluice box that will be installed upon the phoenix to
catch any artifacts that may make it through the diver's inspection and
through our 8 inch dredge pump being
used to excavate the big hole.
|
Deck material and fiber glass protrusions are made from the material
used in construction of chemical plants, is fire retardant and the
vessel is virtually indestructible.
The MRV Phenoix is made of sectional polypropylene foam filled
pontoons. The only steel are the 316 stainless steel bolts that fasten
the aluminum angle beams to the pontoons. The deck is made of nidacore.

Sub bottom
profile was done on the wreck to pin point exactly where the 3 solution
holes are, that need to be investigated. We are using state of the
art sub bottom profiling technology that is called a chirper system. This
system sends many acoustic signals, sounding like a "bird chirp"
to the bottom; measuring the depth of the sand down to the original
reef coral line structures having been buried as sand migrates
southerly, from river estuaries along the eastern seaboard. This
technology was originally designed to locate anti-personal mines
underwater for naval seal amphibian landings. It is our plan to use this
map to more accurately point point - then excavate for the main cultural
deposits (motherlode) of our near shore historical mid 17th century
shipwreck site.
