Glenaan Elliott Robbins, is the original creator of the first miniature Nantucket Lightship Baskets. She and her family have brought to you renown pieces of these baskets cast in 18K gold and set with fine diamonds and other precious stones. Her jeweler who sets our coins as well has allowed us to display and offer a special edition golden basket in both sterling silver and vermeil gold. Glenaan has designed round and oval nesting baskets, flower baskets, picnic baskets and many more. They are designed with meticulous attention to detail. The handles swing and the hinges work, allowing the lids to open to reveal a miniature penny inside. The scrimshaw on covered baskets is done by hand with either black or multicolored links. We can also supply the original Glenaan Baskets upon request. Our baskets here are designed in Vermeil 18K gold, 14K gold, Sterling Silver. The popularity over the years of Glenaan's gold baskets has resulted in her licensing The Golden Basket name and designs for stores in Martha's Vineyard, The Ocean Reef Club, Hobe Sound and Palm Beach. Each basket comes with it's own card of authenticity and descriptive background information. |
